About the role
Chess.com is looking for a Senior Product Manager to shape the AI/ML roadmap and vision. In close partnership with leadership, you will help users learn the game, improve faster, and deepen their relationship with chess.
You will expand the role of AI in products like Game Review, Play Coach, and FairPlay, while leading new bets like human-like bots, personalized coaching, and novel AI concepts.
What you'll do
- Shape both the near-term roadmap and the long-term vision for AI/ML at Chess.com.
- Bring your own point of view on what's worth building and why, while engaging with feedback from leadership and peers.
- Communicate async via Slack, brainstorm openly, and be explicit on urgency and reasoning for decisions.
- Partner deeply with engineering to shape technical approaches and write crisp specs.
- Define success criteria and evaluation methods alongside engineers and researchers.
- Use AI to prototype, build mocks, test flows, and pressure-test ideas personally before engineering investment.
