About the role
SafetyWing (YC W18) is building a global social safety net for remote workers - simple health, insurance, and retirement products designed to replace national welfare systems. Our mission is to remove geographical borders as a barrier to equal opportunity and freedom for everyone.
Nomad Insurance is an autonomous team owning our individual product line, including Nomad Essential, Nomad Complete, and Nomad Citizen. This role blends the responsibilities of a product leader and growth leader, responsible for scaling the product 10x from $30m to $300m.
As the General Manager, you will lead the product end-to-end, from defining strategy and shaping user experience to ensuring smooth operational execution. You will lead the Nomad Insurance team, including growth, engineering, and design, ensuring people are joyful and productive.
What you'll do
- Being the overall owner of Nomad Insurance, responsible for solving problems and hitting product and growth goals.
- Acting as the voice of Nomad Insurance customers to ensure an amazing user experience.
- Working with the product team to define goals, prioritize features, and product improvements.
- Leading and mentoring the Nomad Insurance team to ensure they remain organized, joyful, and productive.
- Managing key internal and external relationships needed to successfully run the product.
