I'm sooooo sorry these have been coming out less regular than normal. I promise it's not a trend and more of the fact that I've been absolutely slammed.

I've been absolutely buried in the Beach Commute Atlas to help people find all the work-from-anywhere jobs from our approved companies as they are listed (rather than what I find once a week).

I'm having an absolute blast because people are telling us what they want and we're changing it on the fly.

Check it out and tell me what you like and don't like. There's a bit of free functionality, but we made it pretty freaking affordable for the full version.

Here's what it's doing so far (but constantly updating)

Here's what you told us you want.

✅ Only includes work-from-anywhere companies we've vetted and approved, and scored based on my super-secret scoring method.

✅ Pulls in the perks and bennies they offer (took us forever to manually figure these out).

✅ Includes the salary when they post it, and gives you a market estimate when they don't (so you don't get low-balled). And you can sort by salaries.

✅ We've reviewed EVERY ONE of these companies manually - so we're adding my hot takes on the companies. No job board mystery meat.

✅ Linked to the careers page listings, which is important, because people get hired at 4x the rate as a job board.

And if there is a lack of clarity about their remote work policies, I do my best to explain it.

Basically, it's the very, VERY best fully-remote jobs available right now, eliminating the tens of thousands of remote-ish junk.

It's this newsletter, but sortable and much bigger.

Because honestly, you don't need MORE job listings, you need BETTER job listings (that are real).

Give me feedback. Good, bad, neutral. We created this thing based on what you told us you wanted. Bring it on, we can take it.

*(Aside from "make it free"...it costs to keep this thing running, y'all.)

    Oyster

    HR · 101-1,000 · Est. 2020 · Company page on the Atlas ↗

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

Oyster their mission is to create a more equal world by making it possible for companies everywhere to hire people anywhere. They believe it should be easy for any company to hire any person, no matter where they are located in the world.

    🌶️ Hot take

When I say I'm looking for perfect clarity from a company on their remote policy, Oyster sets the standard. They allow you to work from anywhere (including a beach), but make it clear if certain roles require specific timezones in order to align with the company. The are under no delusions that employees have lives outside of work and need to thrive there AS WELL as in front of the laptop to do well in life.

I want to enshrine these two cards in careers page hall of fame

Further, they give employees 40 days of PTO per year, which I actually PREFER to unlimited PTO. Oyster is a no-doubter for me.

    Software Dev · 101-1,000 · Est. 2008 · Company page on the Atlas ↗

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

DuckDuckGo, a free browser for mobile and desktop, prioritizes privacy with its private search, tracker blocker, and independence as a company since 2008. Their goal is to provide easy privacy solutions to all users.

    🌶️ Hot take

DuckDuckGo has the only perfect score in our database, and is THE prototype for what we look for in a work-from-anywhere company. Well, not JUST a WFA company, but ANY company. Here's the core tenets we look for.

    • Clear prioritization of working from anywhere as a business model.
    • Clear expression of trust and empowerment for employees.
    • Understanding that output > location or hours.
    • Transparent perk package.
    • Transparent salary offering per role.
    • Emphasis of employees over mission statement.

DuckDuckGo nails each of these things I look for

Any time you see a role posted, APPLY. Don't question it, just apply. Highlights:

🌍 Hire-from-anywhere: DuckDuckGo will hire prospective employees from anywhere

💰 Geo-neutral pay alert! DuckDuckGo provides salary ranges that are global, regardless of location, paid in USD.

⏰ Flexible hours: "No core hours means working when you're most productive, and taking time off when you need it."

💪 Health and wellness: "To promote your physical and mental well-being, we offer a Wellness Reimbursement of up to $1,000 USD per year."

📚 Learning budget:To promote your professional development and reinforce our culture of self-directed learning and skill-building, we offer a Learning Stipend of up to $1,250 USD per year

🔌 Tech stipend: We reimburse the purchase of a computer every 3 years and offset the cost of a phone (up to $500 USD) every 2 years to do your job. To help you get your office set up, we reimburse up to $1,250 USD to cover the purchase of office productivity items.

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

At Impact Brands the thrill and excitement of making a positive IMPACT on BILLIONS of people is their fuel. They prioritize premium quality natural and organic health products, superior service, and creative marketing. Every day they explore revolutionary mediums to help improve the lives of people all over the world.

    🌶️ Hot take

Their careers page really lacks detail. As a matter of fact, the majority of my findings come directly from their job listings. But, they have a solid remote work policy, decent Glassdoor reviews, and some solid perks.

🚨 Important note: It APPEARS that they are targeting Eastern European employees based on the salary ranges offered. If I find in the future that they only target EE employees, I will likely opt to not include them.

🏝️ Remote work: "Whether it's your home office, a cozy cafe, or a scenic spot across the globe, you have the autonomy to choose your workspace."

🔌 Home office budget: "A home office allowance and the possibility to choose between a MacBook or a Windows-based workstation.

🏥 Health and wellness budget: "We value your well-being - investment in your health is not just encouraged but actively supported."

✈️ PTO: Enjoy 25+ Working Days of Holidays to recharge and relax from work.

    Tiger Data (creators of TimescaleDB)

    🔎 What they do

Timescale (TigerData) is tackling one of the biggest challenges (and opportunities) in databases for the foreseeable future: helping developers, businesses, and society make sense of the vast amounts of data generated by humans and their machines. TimescaleDB stands out as the only open-source time-series database that natively supports full SQL. It combines the power, reliability, and user-friendliness of a relational database with the scalability often found in NoSQL systems.

    🌶️ Hot take

Most of Timescale's careers page covers the boilerplate, standard information: D&I statement, what the company does and their vision, their statement on remote work, company values and job listings. They have an excellent Glassdoor rating, so I would love to see some more personality coming out of this page and through their job listings. I'd also like to see a bit more information about their policy on working from anywhere (rather than simply fully-remote).

Here's a few things I like from their job listings and careers page:

    😎 Flexible hours

    📚 Education benefits

    📈 Stock options

    📊 BeachScore

    Very solid...

    🏝️ Remote work policy

Fully-remote, but lacks clarity on WFA and travel policies. Company policy: "100% remote. We have people from all over the world with diverse backgrounds contributing to our fun-loving culture."

    The Colibrily Crew

    Marketing, SEO · 1-10 · Est. 2016 · Company page on the Atlas ↗

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

The Colibrily Crew is not your typical marketing agency – they're all about transparency, social and environmental responsibility, and they're proud to be a newly certified B-Corp (YAY!). They prioritize people, fostering a supportive work environment for their team and providing their customers with straightforward, no-nonsense processes free of games or upsells.

    🌶️ Hot take

Super bare-bones careers page, but you absolutely feel the love. Look at the first line and tell me you don't feel the love:

"This means no unpaid overtime, flexible hours, and an overall respectful approach that allows for a healthy work-life balance and career growth."

Add in a massive list of perks and bennies and I feel great about them. Don't be thrown off by the low peer review score - this is the default score until the company has more data to work with. What I really really want is a clearer remote work policy.

    📊 BeachScore Live

Again, don't be thrown off by the low peer review score.

    🌶️ Hot take

It's a bare bones careers page, y'all. Most of the details you'll find out about working here is included in the job listings. Drives me crazy, but is common with small companies. It's a shame because there is a TON of good stuff in there...paid company retreats, full healthcare, unlimited PTO, parental leave, equity, and...a great remote work policy: "Remote operations with the ability to work in the time zone of your choice."

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

At Mode, they believe that every human on the planet deserves an equal opportunity to become financially self-sustaining. Therefore, they've developed earn-as-you-go software that enables supplemental income, democratizes access to capital, and increases the realization of financial potential for budget-conscious, financially-challenged, and underserved consumers globally.

    🌶️ Hot take

Here's the positives I've found on Mode Mobile:

    • Strong Glassdoor score (4.2).
    • Clear remote work policy.
    • They're global: "Our team works remotely around the 🌎, with members in the U.S., Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Poland, India, and more."

    Here's the negatives I've gleaned:

    • "We operate at startup speed"...usually translates to burnout in my experience.
    • "A fast-moving, supportive, global remote environment"...2/3 of this is good, "fast-moving" is always a concern.
    • They talk a lot more about their company rather than why you should work there. SELL ME!

    Uscreen

    Elite tier in our books

    Software Dev · 101-1,000 · Est. 2014 · Company page on the Atlas ↗

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

Uscreen was founded back in 2014 and started off without any external funding. It's basically a cool platform made specifically for video creators. What's neat about Uscreen is that it lets creators set up paid memberships that come with a bunch of awesome features: like building their own video libraries, offering live streams, and even creating their own little community hub. Oh, and the best part? It's all wrapped up in their very own branded site and apps. Using Uscreen can really help creators boost their brand, connect with their community on a deeper level, and keep their business going strong.

    🌶️ Hot take

Uscreen pulls top marks in our Atlas database of remote companies. One of my absolute favorite things to read about remote companies is that they started remote. That means they weren't forced to adapt to remote life during covid. It means they understand how to manage remote employees, trust them to be autonomous, and recognize their efforts based on output rather than physical attendance.

"Remote first, remote always. Uscreen has been 100% remote since 2016. We’ve accomplished incredible things alongside an incredibly diverse team; all while living wherever our hearts desire."

Companies that originate as fully-remote always have a leg up on those who adopted it by force of covid.

"Remote first, remote always. Uscreen has been 100% remote since 2016. We’ve accomplished incredible things alongside an incredibly diverse team; all while living wherever our hearts desire."

Here's some of the things they offer:

🏝️ Unlimited PTO: "Unlimited PTO and flexible parental leave"

🏥 Medical: Full health, dental, and vision coverage

🐖 Retirement (that's a piggy bank): "401(k) plan with company match"

    🌶️ Hot take

Here's some things I like and don't like about Postscript.

Likes: Their 4.2 Glassdoor score is relatively strong for companies with more than ten reviews. They have a clear perks & benefits section. They were shared on the Forbes Best Startup Employers List. They have solid testimonials.

Dislikes: The first few folds is about who THEY are and what they expect YOU to be. Companies really should start the same way you would by selling a prospect: target audience first, you second. Here's some highlights:

✅ Strong Peer Reviews: 4.2 Glassdoor score (22 reviews). While it is just an indicator, it's a pretty strong one.

💵 Transparent salaries: Mostly clear salary ranges. Some are missing.

🏥 Medical: Comprehensive insurance. Health, dental, and vision.

🌍 Geo-neutral salaries: "We do not have geo based salaries"

    Canonical

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

Together with a community of 200,000, Canonical publishes an operating system that runs on everything from tiny connected devices to the world's largest mainframes. It's the platform everyone uses on the public cloud and the go-to workstation for the world's most productive developers.

    🌶️ Hot take

Canonical is a bit tricky for me to review for a few reasons:

    1. Their Glassdoor reviews have dropped down to 3.1 (March 25, 2026), right at my threshold. I'd want to see this start trending in the correct direction in order to consider them for inclusion again.
    2. I like they they have yearly sprints in cool locations like Cape Town, Madrid, and London.
    3. I like that hire-from-anywhere/work-from-anywhere roles are clearly labeled on the job listings as "worldwide."
    4. I'd like to read more about how they feel about their employees traveling as a digital nomad, or being location-independent in general.
    5. I'd like to see more details about the perks they do or don't offer employees, though I suspect they vary by hiring region.

Please get back to me, because I would like to include you again, but need a few more details to do so.

"Remote first". Company statement: "Our remote-first policy enables us to collaborate with the best in the world in our domain. Though most team members work remotely, we meet each other at least twice per year during in-person sprints to nurture cross-team relationships. These sprints are funded by Canonical, and take place at locations around the world."

I am not a recruiter nor am not affiliated with any of the companies listed above. I currently cannot help you get hired with one of these specific companies for a role listed, or give you a recommendation. Note: "Hire from anywhere" is not the same as "Work from anywhere."
