Happy Wednesday, everyone!! Sorry for missing the newsletter last week (trust me, I heard about it!).

I took three days of full vacation (no sneaking the laptop open) for a friend's birthday party in Mexico.

What's going on in the hiring world?

We've currently got 645 fully-remote jobs with companies we've fully reviewed.

And we've tracked down 69 new fully-remote jobs since Monday, including one of my favorites, chess.com.

Sending the best of luck to you all this week! Hope to see you working with me on the beach soon!

    Gitlab

    IT Services · 1,000+ · Est. 2014 · Company page on the Atlas ↗

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

GitLab is changing the game for Development, Security, and Ops teams with its all-in-one DevOps platform. It's all about revolutionizing collaboration, accelerating cycle time, cutting costs, speeding up time to market, and boosting developer efficiency.

    🌶️ Hot take

GitLab has put more effort into their employee marketing and policies than 99.99% of the companies we've researched over the years. Seriously, their handbook is absolutely massive.

Here's one of my favorite quotes about how they (accurately) think of the way productivity actually looks for a knowledge worker:

"A non-linear workday means that you can move between work and non-work time on an asynchronous schedule - without needing to account for PTO (paid-time-off). For example, a remote worker may start their day at 6:00 am and work till 9:00 am local time. To spend time with family, this person will not check work email or resume working again until 3:00 pm local time and continues to work until 8:00 pm local time. And tomorrow may be a totally different schedule depending on work/life circumstances."

And my favorite policy on the website speaks to their stance on working remotely:

"Working remotely enables a tremendous amount of freedom, enabling team members to work from anywhere so long as there is a reliable internet connection."

    📊 BeachScore Live

    🏝️ Remote work policy

Work from anywhere, as long as they have an entity in your home country. It's a little unclear. They have a TON of published content about their views on remote work. Company statement: "Hiring and working from all over the world (instead of from a central location). Flexibility to live where you want as long as we have an entity in that location."

“We've scaled as an asynchronous, no-office company that's consistently recognized as a great place to work.”In their words · from the Atlas

    IT Services · 1,000+ · Est. 2015 · Company page on the Atlas ↗

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

Sumsub is an identity verification, KYC/AML, transaction monitoring, and fraud-prevention platform that helps businesses verify users and companies while staying compliant.

    🌶️ Hot take

There is SO much to like about this company, starting with the very first line on their careers page: "Trust over control. We hire smart people and let them shine. No micromanaging, no games—just trust, ownership, and great work." This is EVERYTHING that you look for in a company. They are all about output over attendance, they don't micromanage, they have strong Glassdoor reviews, and a MOSTLY clear remote work policy.

"Remote-first, trust-based culture. Work from the place that works best for you. No mandatory office days, no attendance trackers. In some locations, we provide offices or coworking spaces, but the choice is yours. "Remote-first and future-ready. Work where you're happiest and most productive—your schedule, your choice, your rules." "Hubs in 8 cities, plus coworking spaces worldwide. Visit often (or never), or drop by when you need a change of scene."

    Sinch

    Marketing · 11-100 · Est. 2010 · Company page on the Atlas ↗

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

Sinch - they're at the forefront of revolutionizing global communication. With over 150,000 businesses, including some heavy-hitters in the tech world, relying on their Customer Communications Cloud to enhance customer experience through mobile messaging, voice, and email. Sinch doesn't shy away from thinking big - from their company goals to customer success and employee growth. They scout out top talent worldwide to turn their vision into reality. With a local footprint in over 60 countries, chances are there's a Sinch office not far from you!

    🌶️ Hot take

It's a pretty boilerplate careers page..."Dream big", "win together", "Keep it simple", "make it happen." These proclamations don't say anything. What DOES say something is a testimonial, of which there are many.

Many roles are "fully remote", but ask you to be near a hub. Some let you work from anywhere. Keep a keen eye out for WFA roles.

    📊 BeachScore Live

Sinch gets a 75% on the Beach Commute Atlas, putting them in the top 35% of fully remote companies.

    Trivium

    New company alert!

    Biz Consulting · 11-100 · Est. 2021 · Company page on the Atlas ↗

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

Trivium helps companies who sell products on Amazon. They do PPC, account management, optimization, etc.

    🌶️ Hot take

They're small, and there isn't a ton of information on their careers page, but they have a strong remote work policy: "Work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection." They often have working hour overlap requirements, which is perfectly reasonable.

    📊 BeachScore Live

The only reason Trivium doesn't get higher scores is because we don't have many publicly published perks & benefits (which may actually exist).

    ClipBoard Health

    Software Dev · 1,000+ · Est. 2016 · Company page on the Atlas ↗

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

Clipboard Health utilizes technology to assist nursing facilities (such as SNFs, senior care centers, and hospitals) in ensuring they have the right nurse in the right place at the right time. With a presence in numerous locations across the nation, Clipboard Health is a graduate of the Y Combinator incubator.

    🌶️ Hot take

Here's what I DO like about CH...Their Glassdoor is continuing to head in a positive direction, they hae several employee testimonials, unlimited PTO, and lots of jobs that hire from anywhere.

Here's what I DON'T like about CH...They are missing a huge opportunity for stronger employee marketing. Their careers page has a lengthy explanation about what they expect of prospective candidates - how to be and what to do. There's literally 12 panels that explain what they want from you...instead of talking about what they can do for their employees.

It sets the tone the wrong way right out of the gate. I would much rather see them take an employee-first mentality rather than dumping a laundry list of expectations on people who haven't even applied yet.

They could immensely improve their talent attraction by clearly explaining why THEY should work for YOU, a clear remote work policy, and a detailed list of perks and benefits.
