Here's a few tips for you to get hired for a fully remote role this summer (that you probably didn't think of):

    1. AI probably shreds your resume 🤖

90% of applications never make it in front of a human for stupid reasons. AI is probably shredding your resume if:

    • You're using an image/headshot
    • You aren't using the right keywords relative to the job listing
    • You have unusual/custom formatting

Tip: Nothing cute with your formatting, no images, use the keywords specific to the job listing.

    2. You're not standing out, at all 🌟

The hiring market is so strong for employers right now that they get hundreds to thousands of candidates for every job listing (they don't even have to pay). In a sea of thousands of resumes, you should try standing out by:

    • Creating a 30/60/90 plan or pitch on Lovable
    • Sending a Loom video in place of a cover letter
    • Making connections at the company

Tip: It's like dating, make yourself as attractive and unique as possible.

    3. You're applying in the wrong places

Does it matter where you apply for jobs? Oh yes, very much so.

    • Standard job listings re-posted on job boards have the lowest hiring rate
    • Applying on careers pages have 4x the hiring rate
    • Getting a referral has 11x the hiring rate
    • 50% of job board jobs are fake

Tip: Self promotion (don't @me, I don't care). On the Beach Commute Atlas we choose every company and link directly to their careers pages. Nobody gets to pay to post whatever junk they want.

We currently have 1,039 live jobs (with 101 found since Monday!)

Good luck in your search this week!

    Superside

    Design Services · 101-1,000 · Est. 2015 · Company page on the Atlas ↗

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

Superside is the go-to AI-powered creative service. It's like having an extension of your in-house team, delivering lightning-fast, scalable, top-notch design and creative solutions. They've worked with over 450 globally renowned companies like Amazon, Meta, Salesforce, and Shopify since 2015. The secret sauce? They combine the top 1% of creatives worldwide with generative AI, giving them the power to offer on-demand creative services perfectly tailored to the needs of enterprise businesses and emerging industry leaders.

    🌶️ Hot take

If I see another company that has more than 90% of its career page content that talks about the company mission rather than prospective employees, I'm flat out dropping them from our database. Listen, do THIS:

Why does that work? Because they are prioritizing outcomes rather than worthless things like location, looking "busy", and keeping employees happy. Say it with me: Offices don't generate more revenue, it makes old schoolers happy because they have no idea how a business is meant to operate.

    GameTime

    Entertainment · 101-1,000 · Est. 2013 · Company page on the Atlas ↗

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

GameTime is your top spot for snagging last-minute tickets to the best sports, music, and theater events across the U.S. and Canada. They're all about creating unforgettable shared experiences, and their passion fuels the tech that brings people together in real life.

    🌶️ Hot take

🚨 Update 6/3/26: Well, it looks like we may have to consider removing GameTime from the newsletter, as they are now a "remote from US only" company. Look at their updated remote work policy:

"We're a fully remote company — no hybrid, no mandatory office days. We're currently set up for employees in 25+ US states and growing. Work from wherever you do your best work, and we'll invest in bringing people together for team events throughout the year."

Such a shame, all that missed talent that could be contributing from anywhere. They do have a decent perk package though.

🏝️ Unlimited PTO: "Take what you need' vacation policy (we actually mean it!)"

👶🏾 Paid Parental Leave: Peace of mind for parents to dedicate their time to the care of their new child

🏥 Healthcare: "Medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents"

🔌 Tech stipend: "Monthly stipend to offset the cost of internet and any home office updates"

    Tiger Data (creators of TimescaleDB)

    🔎 What they do

Timescale (TigerData) is tackling one of the biggest challenges (and opportunities) in databases for the foreseeable future: helping developers, businesses, and society make sense of the vast amounts of data generated by humans and their machines. TimescaleDB stands out as the only open-source time-series database that natively supports full SQL. It combines the power, reliability, and user-friendliness of a relational database with the scalability often found in NoSQL systems.

    🌶️ Hot take

Most of Timescale's careers page covers the boilerplate, standard information: D&I statement, what the company does and their vision, their statement on remote work, company values and job listings. They have an excellent Glassdoor rating, so I would love to see some more personality coming out of this page and through their job listings. I'd also like to see a bit more information about their policy on working from anywhere (rather than simply fully-remote).

Here's a few things I like from their job listings and careers page:

    😎 Flexible hours

    📚 Education benefits

    📈 Stock options

🚨 Keep in mind, many roles are geo-specific, so read carefully for the WFA roles!

    📊 BeachScore

    Very solid indeed...

    🏝️ Remote work policy

Fully-remote, but lacks clarity on WFA and travel policies. Company policy: "100% remote. We have people from all over the world with diverse backgrounds contributing to our fun-loving culture."

    WorkWeek

    Media Production · 11-100 · Est. 2021 · Company page on the Atlas ↗

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

At Workweek, a team of industry pros is revolutionizing the business world by crafting engaging and informative content. They elevate personalities, delve into industry insights, and celebrate the blend of entertainment and cultural relevance to provide an experience you'll genuinely relish and grow from.

    🌶️ Hot take

It's a bare bones careers page, y'all. Most of the details you'll find out about working here is included in the job listings. Drives me crazy, but is common with small companies. It's a shame because there is a TON of good stuff in there...paid company retreats, full healthcare, unlimited PTO, parental leave, equity, and...a great remote work policy: "Remote operations with the ability to work in the time zone of your choice."

    📊 BeachScore Live

DuckDuckGo, a free browser for mobile and desktop, prioritizes privacy with its private search, tracker blocker, and independence as a company since 2008. Their goal is to provide easy privacy solutions to all users.

    🌶️ Hot take

DuckDuckGo has the only perfect score in our database, and is THE prototype for what we look for in a work-from-anywhere company. Well, not JUST a WFA company, but ANY company. Here's the core tenets we look for.

    • Clear prioritization of working from anywhere as a business model.
    • Clear expression of trust and empowerment for employees.
    • Understanding that output > location or hours.
    • Transparent perk package.
    • Transparent salary offering per role.
    • Emphasis of employees over mission statement.

DuckDuckGo nails each of these things I look for

Any time you see a role posted, APPLY. Don't question it, just apply. Highlights:

📚 Learning budget:To promote your professional development and reinforce our culture of self-directed learning and skill-building, we offer a Learning Stipend of up to $1,250 USD per year

🔌 Tech stipend: We reimburse the purchase of a computer every 3 years and offset the cost of a phone (up to $500 USD) every 2 years to do your job. To help you get your office set up, we reimburse up to $1,250 USD to cover the purchase of office productivity items.

🧠 New philosophy (based on human nature and common sense: Autonomy > Control
