50 Fully remote jobs hiring April 22th, 2026
Let me introduce you to Whittling With Jeff on the beach...

And now I seem to have an army of beach whittlers joining me for projects every afternoon!

After sharing some beach pictures to our email subscribers, someone sent me an email the other day that really troubled me. The essence of the email was "I'll never be able to do what you do because you're not normal and I'm not as privileged and didn't have the same advantageous upbringing."
I can absolutely see how people can feel that way. I can see both how it can be true, and how it can be a victimizing crutch.
Some things can be absolutely true at the same time. Here's some surprising truths about remote workers.
Most remote workers are painfully normal & have painfully normal jobs
We've known thousands of remote workers and digital nomads. They're rarely trust fund babies, high-paid influencers, or just "lucky." They're more likely to be normal office workers who went remote, self taught programmers, writers, etc. Some folks live this lifestyle making less than $30k/year.
They mostly don't start life on third base
I certainly didn't. I lived on potatoes and ramen for seven years in order to afford to work during the day and go to school at night. Some come from money, but so do the normal population.
Going fully remote takes intention and work
Nobody falls into this lifestyle by accident. They build skills, make hard decisions and take big risks to make their dreams happen. This is the biggest separator.
Now...before you come at me, yes, many people are in a less-than-optimal position to become a fully remote worker. Health, family, disabilities, hardships are all real things.
Fully agree and sympathize. This is real.
My thesis is this: Before you tell yourself that you can't become a remote worker because of [fill in the reason], ask if it's a self-imposed factor, or an objectively limiting factor.
We've spent over a decade in this space, and >95% of the time it's a self-imposed factor that needs to get worked out.

Railsware
🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas
Railsware is a product studio specializing in its own products and consultancy services. Their products, Mailtrap, Coupler.io, and Jira Smart Checklist, started as internal tools, gained community recognition, and evolved into successful commercial products with millions of users and future expansions.
🌶️ Hot take
I'm a sucker for a public-facing employee handbook, and Railsware has an absolute doozy. And for the love of god can companies start telling me WHY I should be applying to work for you? Sell yourself, please! Here's some good reasons from Railsware:
🔌 Tech stipend: "When joining the team, we would ask you to use our secure hardware only. No worries, it’s going to be great new items, you can choose yourself."
💪 Health and wellness: "Good health is a key element of an active lifestyle. Railsware helps you maintain it with an extra budget you can spend on what is best for your health at the moment. Be it a meditation app subscription, gym membership, or a yoga mat – all included."
📚 Learning budget: "At Railsware, we don’t tell you how or what to learn. You get a dedicated sum that you can use to participate in conferences, visit workshops or take courses of your choice."
⏰ Flexible hours: "Railswarians live in more than 25 countries with different time zones. All of them are free to choose their most productive work time and place."
Oh and can I get a big amen for this? I was once named "Jeff do-I-have-to-join-this-meeting Baker" by a coworker...

Remote
🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas
Remote is on a mission to level the playing field when it comes to talent and opportunity. They're all about giving everyone a fair shot by helping employers discover top talent and individuals achieve financial and personal freedom. As a global HR platform, Remote simplifies the process of hiring, managing, and paying your team. Their wide range of solutions, from HRIS to international employment services, equips businesses to thrive in the fast-paced global marketplace.
🌶️ Hot take
Remote gets a RARE 5/5 on our remote emphasis scale. Everything about their careers page is THE model for how fully-remote companies should market themselves to prospects. The FIRST thing they talk about (in the freaking header) is their work-from-anywhere policy. Then they launch right into their asynchronous work style (and further reinforcement of their remote policy).

With a company size of 1,000+, HOW are they still able to maintain this employee-first mentality? No companies are able to scale AND maintain this line.

Oh, and you also know I'm a huge fan of a transparent handbook, so here's theirs.
Updated note for Apr 22: Follow the bouncing ball! We are settling in at 3.4 on Glassdoor now. Again, don't put all your stock in this, but use it as an indicator. Also note that I've heard from job applicants that your application may or may not be prioritized or compensated depending on your geographical location - but they do a good job of explaining this in each individual job listing. Read them carefully.

Work from anywhere. Company policy: “Careers for anyone from anywhere. Come work with Remote if you are an ambitious, motivated, high performing contributor who wants to demonstrate impact from anywhere in the world!"
“We work async at Remote which means you can plan your schedule around your life (and not around meetings).”In their words · from the Atlas

Zyte
🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas
With Zyte, access the web data you need. It's home of the first all-in-one, AI-powered unblocking and extraction platform, and a world-class data delivery team.
🌶️ Hot take
Zyte's one of the companies in our database I don't know a ton about. But here's what I like: They have a video explaining what it's like to work for the company, they list employee benefits, and they have a clear remote work policy. Lastly, they have a solid 4.4 on Glassdoor. All solid indicators.
I also like these benefits/perks:

AirDev
🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas
AirDev is actually pretty cool when it comes to no-code software development. They're like the masters of creating awesome custom web applications super fast and without breaking the bank. What's their secret sauce? Well, they use these amazing no-code tools, keep things super streamlined, and have some of the best talent out there in the industry.
🌶️ Hot take
Airdev is a relatively small company, so there isn't a ton of information on them to give you a proper hot take. I would love to see some more published information about their remote work policies and employee perks and benefits. That said, I do love that they prefer async and written communication over meetings:

We might be right for you if you want to be in charge of your own schedule and output, prefer asynchronous work, and love written communication."

Railway is all about making life easier for developers. They offer a platform as a service that takes the hassle out of managing internet infrastructure, thanks to their user-friendly design. With Railway, more awesome ideas can come to life, putting them at the cutting edge of software development innovation.
🌶️ Hot take
They have a GREAT careers page, check it out. Here's a few things I like:
🏝️ Work from anywhere: "We're autonomous, async heavy, and hire globally. Pick a place, a base, or any space. We're happy wherever you are."
📚 Learning stipends: "Buy books. Learn skills. You're helping us grow the company, and we hope the company can help grow you."
🏥 Healthcare: "Universal Healthcare wherever you are. 99% coverage. United Platinum. Done. Don't worry about it."
✈️ Retreats: "It's nice to see each other every now and then to not talk about work, align, meet each other, and have a good time."
🧘🏾 Minimum PTO: "We value your space. Some companies tout unlimited PTO, pff. With us, you NEED to take minimum 2 weeks and 1 full week at a time."
🔌 Tech stipend: "We trust you. Buy what you need to be effective. This is your company as much as ours."

Postscript
🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas
Postscript is the SMS Revenue Platform for e-commerce stores. Helping Shopify brands make SMS their #1 revenue channel. Postscript is redefining marketing for e-commerce companies by introducing SMS as an entirely new channel for them to engage, retain, and convert their customer base. Backed by Greylock, Y Combinator, and other top investors, Postscript is growing fast!
🌶️ Hot take
Here's some things I like and don't like about Postscript.
Likes: Their 4.2 Glassdoor score is relatively strong for companies with more than ten reviews. They have a clear perks & benefits section. They were shared on the Forbes Best Startup Employers List. They have solid testimonials.
Dislikes: The first few folds is about who THEY are and what they expect YOU to be. Companies really should start the same way you would by selling a prospect: target audience first, you second. Here's some highlights:
✅ Strong Peer Reviews: 4.2 Glassdoor score (22 reviews). While it is just an indicator, it's a pretty strong one.
💵 Transparent salaries: Mostly clear salary ranges. Some are missing.
🏥 Medical: Comprehensive insurance. Health, dental, and vision.
🌍 Geo-neutral salaries: "We do not have geo based salaries"
📊 BeachScore Live
Very solid, middle of the pack.

Billtrust
🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas
Billtrust offers automated order-to-cash solutions that cater to various buyer needs. They expedite cash applications by customizing invoice delivery, enabling secure payments through multiple channels, and streamlining matching and payment processes.
🌶️ Hot take
Tons of things I like...but we're just missing a more transparent remote work policy. They say "work from anywhere", which is key, BUT their job listings say "United States", which gives me pause. Check out the transparent perk package below.

I like the idea of the summer hours, but I still don't want to see companies focusing on hours over output. If someone gets their job done in 50 hours in 10 days, who cares what they do with the rest of their time? Just food for thought.

🏝️ Remote work policy
Fully remote, but I really need more information about whether or not they have geographic limitations (please DM me). I am not a recruiter nor am not affiliated with any of the companies listed above. I currently cannot help you get hired with one of these specific companies for a role listed, or give you a recommendation. Note: "Hire from anywhere" is not the same as "Work from anywhere."
