Remote company crush Thursday - Kit & MailerLite hiring today
I'm gonna share with you two of the absolute GOATS π of work-from-anywhere companies, Kit, and MailerLite.
Each company we review in the Beach Commute Atlas π go through the rigorous review process below so that we can add some d*mned transparency in this crazy remote job board market with scams, fake-remote, and ghost jobs littered all over job boards.
These are a few shining stars
Kit

We use Kit for all of our email management, and we LOVE working with their team! But before you @me, we are completely unaffiliated and don't accept promotions.
Howβd we rate Kit?
ποΈ Overall BeachScore: 90%
Whyβd we give Kit a 90% BeachScore rating? Here's the things that matter for you before you apply π
ποΈ Remote Policy: βββββ
The company says: "Remote-friendly & flexible work policies. Work from anywhere in the world."
They also make it clear that with this level of flexibility come responsibilities that may annoy certain employees (but you're not normal). They say you won't like working at Kit if:
"You need in-person contact with a traditional 9β5. We're remote, distributed, and often async. That means more autonomy, but occasional meetings at weird times. If that sounds frustrating instead of freeing, this probably isn't your place."
π‘ Note: Some specific jobs may have a preferred time zone working hours.
π¬ Peer Reviews: βββββ
They have a perfect 5.0 on Glassdoor. Here's the latest review from April:
"Before I started, I was worried that reading these reviews was too good to be true. But honestly my experience has lived up to the 5 star rating."
π― Perks & Benefits: βββββ
They have a massive perks package:
Comprehensive insurance, 80 hours per year of sick leave, parental leave, medical leave, retirement, profit sharing, $1k bonus for taking 5 consecutive days off, 4 week paid sabbatical after 4 years, $3,500 in learning and development, and a work from anywhere flexibility.
π’ Careers page culture: ββββ
Slightly business-focused language rather than prospect-facing: "our values", "our employee qualities", "our mission", but well counterbalanced well with employee quotes, transparent perks and benefits, and strong imagery. They also provide transparent salaries and hiring processes.
What open roles do they have today? π
They currently have 3 roles hiring. Don't see one you like? Don't @me, set a tracker on the Beach Commute Atlas so that you don't miss a listing:
Senior Creative Growth Managerβ ($126k) - EST preferred working hours
Brand Project Manager: (contract, $6k/month)
Lead Growth Marketing Manager: ($180k)
MailerLite

MailerLite's careers page makes my heart warm. There are two types of companies:
- Those who post the boilerplate "we're looking for hard-working employees who believe in our mission and take accountability, yada yada yada" that all say the exact same thing, but say nothing at all. Of course you're looking for good employees. This is wasted space that says nothing at all.
- Those who explain why they've created the best environment for employees and sell you on why you should work there.
Read this line from MailerLite:
"π΄ The chill policies: Time-off and recharging. Do what excites you, recharges you and fills your cup or take time to recover if youβre ill."
Love it.
ποΈ Overall BeachScore: 97%
Whyβd we give MailerLite a 97% BeachScore rating? Here's the things that matter for you before you apply π
ποΈ Remote Policy: βββββ
The company says: "We are a 100% remote company with 172 talented people working from 40+ countries."
"Weβve been remote since before it was cool! From 2014 our team has been sprinkled over the globe and choosing how they do their best work."
Say no more
π¬ Peer Reviews: ββββ
They have a 4.4 on Glassdoor. Here's the latest review from June:
"Fast paced but low pressure, incredible team and communication; feeling valued."
π― Perks & Benefits: βββββ
They have one of the best packages I've ever seen.
Parental leave, parental budget, parental days off, $1k annual "joy budget", $5k towards your dream vacation after 5 years, a new Macbook, 31 vacation days per year, 4 creative days per year, 12 sick days, remote health insurance, flexible working hours and async work style.
π’ Careers page culture: βββββ
Perfection. Any company that feels the need to talk about themselves, their values, what they're looking for in an employee, etc., need to realize that they SHOULD be selling the prospective employee on why they should apply, just like MailerLite does.
Read their careers page, it's good.
What open roles do they have today? π

π» Note for job seekers
I am not a recruiter nor am not affiliated with any of the companies listed above. I currently cannot help you get hired with one of these specific companies for a role listed, or give you a recommendation. Note: "Hire from anywhere" is not the same as "Work from anywhere." Some companies are not able to hire employees from anywhere, but this does not mean they are not a "work from anywhere" company.
