50 Better remote jobs hiring August 5th, 2026

Oh my god...I'm in love. So hear me out - most remote companies have a vague-ish remote work policy, right? It's like "remote, but..." And you find halfway into the interview process that it's "remote from Atlanta on the north side." Cool, cool. Check out Publitas' remote work policy:

"Work from anywhere, anytime. Travel the globe or simply work from your trusty sofa. You can connect remotely, work asynchronously, and be fully location independent."

Lord have mercy.

But it's not just their remote work policy, their careers page is ALL ABOUT YOU. Seriously, read it. They offer yearly retreats, flexible working hours, meeting-free days, unlimited Kindle budget (WHAT?!), wellness allowance, gear, and the list goes on and on.

I don't even need a job and I want to work here just for the love they feel. And it's backed up with a 4.7 Glassdoor score. Here's the latest review in April:

With an opening careers page line of "Ready to have a fulfilling job, working from anywhere in the world, and making an impact on humanity?", you have my attention!

But then, we get to the careers page.

The careers page states some boilerplate company values that are fairly copy/paste. It's not that this is a bad thing, but companies don't realize that these "value statements" truly add nothing to the understanding of what it's like to work at the company. A core value of: "Reliable, shows up on time and committed to the deeper vision of the company and doing our part to show up and serve" feels like an important thing for a company to say, but it's already understood, says nothing original or authentic, and wastes valuable real estate that could be used to explain how awesome your company is to work for.

Same goes for the "benefit of "Experience working in a fast-paced environment that is constantly evolving and coming up with new ideas on how to best serve our audience and students." That's not a benefit.

Careers pages are excellent opportunities to be genuine about what it's like to work at the company for employees. When they change their perspective from "me" to "you", everything changes.

To be clear, they have done nothing wrong, have an outstanding remote work policy, and may be an outstanding place to work, but a reader would never know because they only talk about themselves.

How do you feel about a "low meeting culture"? Let me answer for you...it's FANTASTIC. Let me tell you how to fix most companies: reduce meetings. Read this statement:

Low meeting culture. Give us the data-driven recommendation on Slack over the meeting and multi slide deck.

They currently have a 3.9 Glassdoor score with 100+ reviews - a great starting point. They have a solid remote work policy, and a lot of language and perks that I look for in a company, including the following:

🏥 Medical coverage: "Full health coverage. Find flexible plans at every premium level, and substantial subsidies that stand up to global standards."

🏝️ Paid Retreats: "Paid global onsites. Magic happens IRL: we gather twice a year to reconnect over a shared meal or a kayaking adventure."

🔌 Tech stipend: "Home office subsidy. You're funded to get the gear you need to do your best work."

⏰ Async work style: "We work in teams, but we work asynchronously. You know what you need to do and when it needs to be done."

Constructor's careers page is 90% employee-first in its verbiage, with a few tiny blurbs at the bottom about the company's core values. They are PITCHING prospects. Bravo. And guess what? They are going to get the best talent that works the hardest and doesn't leave the company.

With a 94% employee retention rate and 4.7 stars on Glassdoor, I completely buy it. Note to companies out there still promoting themselves as company/vision-first, take note. This is how you build a strong team and generate revenue. Here's a few things I like:

✈️ Unlimited PTO: "We provide unlimited vacation time, unlimited sick time, and a minimum of 10 paid holidays every year. Also, take 3 mandatory weeks off per year!"

🏥 Healthcare: "Constructor pays for 99% of our United States team members’ medical, dental, and vision premiums."

They've finally beefed up their careers page! It looks good too. Just these little bubbles make me very happy:
