    Hey you, reader of mine...

We've got a massive list this week, including a bunch of hidden gems you haven't seen before.

Also, where are you in you're journey to get a remote job?

    Already working remote?

Have remote skillset, but working in cubicle hell?

    Zero remote work skills?

I've been talking to quite a few people here on LinkedIn and on webinars who have ZERO background in tech...but still want to go remote.

🐓 I talked to a woman in the poultry business just yesterday (will share her story tomorrow).

🔬 Someone in lab sample sorting and analysis.

🐳 A marine biologist working on the coast.

🏥 And a surprising number of nurses!

Nurses want to travel, it's a trend.

Catherine (below) was a nurse who had dreams of going remote, but had no idea where to start.

She joined our remote coaching problem and started learning the ropes of how to get hired in 2026.

We have a few slots available at the moment, so if you're interested in getting this kind of help, apply below!

Apply for the remote jobs program here.

The root of the problem (I think).

In a Forbes Q&A article a manager asked this question:

My office is returning to a physical space in the fall and they are giving managers a lot of leeway to decide on remote/hybrid work.
I manage eight people on my team and I know a number of them would be happy to never come into the office again. They have all proven themselves more than capable to work from home. However, I personally work best when I can see/talk with people in person, at least periodically. What balance can I strike between giving my team what they want and what I need in my own work style? I would love to ask each team member to come in at least once every 1-2 weeks, but unless there’s a true need is that out of line? I guess my question is, as a manager, when does my own work style matter and when do I need to get over it?

    I like the self awareness.

I don't like knowing that this is the root of many RTO mandates.

Comment and let me know what you're seeing out there in your experience.

But for now...tons of new jobs and companies below. Good luck!

    Entermotion

    New company alert!

    UX/Design · 11-100 · Est. 2007 · Company page on the Atlas ↗

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

Entermotion is a creative design and programming studio that works on a variety of projects from identity design to application development. They tell stories through creative print and web design, and stay personally connected to everything happening in the world of web design and development - whether it’s on the web, wrapped in a package, or hidden in a logo.

    🌶️ Hot take

Sorry, it's the best logo I could find. It's a logo desert out there, gimme a break, eh? Check it out though - they have the MOST simple, but effective careers page I've seen. Read this statement that nobody could have written better.

Working here isn’t about punching a clock. It’s about having the freedom to do meaningful work without unnecessary distractions. We’re remote-first and async by default, which means you can design your day to match your life, not the other way around. Want to throw the ball for your dog at lunch? Go. Need a mid-morning walk with your partner? Do it. We trust you to get the work done, and in return, you get time, the kind you can actually enjoy.

"Want to throw the ball for your dog at lunch?"...Say no more, I salute you. Congrats, you are my new biggest crush.

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

Interaction Design Foundation excels in design education with content by leading experts specializing in UX. Their courses range from beginner to advanced UX learning.

    🌶️ Hot take

I love love love their take on remote work. This is the way it should be:

We offer a work environment where you get the freedom and responsibility to become the best possible version of yourself. With great freedom and power comes great responsibility. The freedom of remote work and a trust-based work-culture places a vast responsibility on you to continuously deliver excellent results, collaborate effectively, prioritize wisely, and improve your skills and performance.

In other words, the work is results-based...and you get the freedom to decide where and when. But it's gotta get done. That's called "treating you like a professional adult." I also love their take on async flexibility:

I can't find a ton about their perks offered (likely discussed during the interview / job offer phase.

    Highlight

    New company alert!

    Market Research · 11-100 · Est. 2020 · Company page on the Atlas ↗

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

Highlight is an in-home product testing platform that streamlines everything from recruitment to data collection. It efficiently manages the logistics of getting your product to target customers, whether they are cat-owning millennials or women over 50 in California with oily skin seeking retinol.

    🌶️ Hot take

Important note: Highlight does not emphasize a remote work culture, it's an option. Employees can choose to be remote, or work in person. If you're looking to work and travel abroad, you'll need to get clarification from the company (it might be a case by case basis for employees), as they seem to be more of a "work from home" type of company.

Also, most companies use AI to screen their applications! Note Highlight's statement below and take heed!

"We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. DuckDuckGo has the only perfect score in our database, and is THE prototype for what we look for in a work-from-anywhere company. Well, not JUST a WFA company, but ANY company. Here's the core tenets we look for.

“You're required to take at least 25 days off per year. (If you don't, you will be locked out of Slack. Just kidding.) This doesn't come out of your sick leave or generous parental leave.”

Oooooh there is so much here that I like! For starters, we have a 4.1 Glassdoor score with 100+ reviews - a great starting point. They have a solid remote work policy, and a lot of language and perks that I look for in a company, including the following, which warms my heart:

"Low meeting culture. Give us the data-driven recommendation on Slack over the meeting and multi slide deck."

    And how about this beauty?

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

Kit is an email marketing platform built for creators — newsletters, automations, and landing pages all in one place, so you can actually run your business instead of stitching together five different tools.

    🌶️ Hot take

I love, love, love Kit. We had been using the for years at Beach Commute, but didn't even realize that they were also an awesome WFA company. Have you EVER heard of this perk that PAYS you for taking time off?!

"Paid paid vacation: An after-tax bonus of $1,000 for taking five consecutive days of vacation where you’re fully unplugged from work"

Also, this is something everyone should consider when applying for a job: You do NOT need to meet 100% of a companies job requirements in a job listing.

"Research tells us that applicants who are female or non-binary, as well as applicants who are people of color, are less likely to apply for roles they do not feel 100% qualified for. If you think you meet more than 50% of our requirements but fewer than 100% of them, please apply. We’re imperfect communicators, so think of our job postings as the starting point for discussion rather than proof that you shouldn’t apply."

Here's some stuff I really like:

✅ Strong Peer Reviews: 5.0 Glassdoor score (23 reviews). While it is just an indicator, it's a pretty strong one.

⏰ Flexible hours: Offers flexible hours and schedules.

🏝️ Vacation bonus: Never heard of this one! "Paid vacation bonus. $1,000 bonus when taking 5+ consecutive days off with three-month advance planning."

✈️ Sabbatical: After five years with Kit, you get a four-week paid sabbatical.

💵 Transparent salaries: Still, something we shouldn't have to celebrate, but here it is!

🔌 Tech stipend: "$4,000 equipment budget upon joining and $3,000 every two years (US core team only)."

Spring Health believes everyone deserves access to high-quality mental healthcare. They assist businesses in updating their mental health benefits. Their program serves as a centralized gateway for various care options including digital activities, EAP services, coaching, therapy, and comprehensive medication.

    🌶️ Hot take

Heads up on Spring Health: Glassdoor reviews are still stabilized at 3.1, if it drops below 3 I am going to drop them from this newsletter until the number improves. This is at the very bottom my threshold for promoting companies, so if it slips again I'll likely nix them from newsletters until it rises. While this number doesn't mean everything to me, it is an indicator. Here are some things I do like:

🏥 Medical: "Health, Dental, Vision benefits start on your first day at Spring."

👶🏾 Parental: "Access to fertility care"

💵 Transparent salaries: Fortunately you know exactly what your salary range will be.

They offer integrated academic and event scheduling, course demand projections, curriculum management, and solutions through a singular, bi-directional integration with your Student Information System (SIS) online catalog.

    🌶️ Hot take

That said, they are fully-remote, have a transparent perk package, and strong Glassdoor reviews. Also, they tick one of the most important boxes in my book:

I also like their published views on work-life balance. I'd love to hear a little more about where they hire, and how they feel about working while traveling. Here's some strong benefits and perks:

    🌶️ Hot take

Have you ever played chess online? I certainly haven't, but many many people do. So many that Chess.com has built out a team of 800+ employees to support the demand! They have a VERY simple careers page, but it feels more genuine and personable than 95% of the pages I've run into. Everything about this statement feels good:

"We're always looking for great people to join the team. All of our jobs are 100% remote. We have a healthy work environment focused on well-being, respect, and memes/emotes. We communicate with Slack and positive energy beams.
If you love chess as much as we do, maybe this is your chance to work and do your hobby at the same time!? We have several positions we are looking to fill."

I'd love to see more details about the perks they offer employees - a lack of visibility here is really the only detail driving their score lower.

With Zyte, access the web data you need. It's home of the first all-in-one, AI-powered unblocking and extraction platform, and a world-class data delivery team.

    🌶️ Hot take

Zyte's one of the companies in our database I don't know a ton about. But here's what I like: They have a video explaining what it's like to work for the company, they list employee benefits, and they have a clear remote work policy. Lastly, they have a solid 4.4 on Glassdoor. All solid indicators.

    I also like these benefits/perks:

    Loom

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

Loom is a team of 7000+ Atlassians supporting an international group of 250,000+ customers. They build awesome tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Trello to help teams across the world become more nimble, creative, and aligned.

    🌶️ Hot take

I LOVE Loom, both as a place to work and as a super helpful async tool. Anyone who reads my stuff knows that I cannot stand meetings. 90% of meetings probably don't need to happen, only benefit the loudest person of the room, and eat into productivity time. Tools like Loom make it possible for remote work and digital nomad lifestyles to exist.

They even have a super comprehensive, transparent perks package broken down by where you are a citizen. I love everything about it.

Work from anywhere. Company statement: "Loommates are everywhere. We believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go. You can choose to work from home, a local office in San Francisco or New York, or from the road if you’re the travelling type."

“At Loom, we believe work is an act, not a place. By separating work from a specific location, we can accommodate a broad range of life choices for team members. You can choose to work from home or work while you travel.”In their words · from the Atlas

    Monetize More

    Ad Services · 11-100 · Est. 2010 · Company page on the Atlas ↗

🔎 What they do Live from the Atlas

MonetizeMore, they're like the AdTech superheroes for digital publishers. They've got this awesome suite of tools that's Google Certified, and it's all about boosting revenue. They've teamed up with the best in the business, working all along the ad supply chain and with premium demand partners. And get this—they've helped big shots like Diply, Snopes, Upworthy, UsedEverywhere, BoredPanda, and more rake in the cash.

    🌶️ Hot take

This company was co-founded by a friend of mine, so I might be a little biased 🤷

Looking at this company objectively, you all know I absolutely adore companies that have transparent documentation of their culture, and MonetizeMore does exactly that. I also love that they do yearly retreats, which are an amazing substitute for any type of "hybrid" setup.
